Madikeri is a 4 hour bus ride from Mangalore city.The route snakes through the ‘ghats’ and is unbelievably scenic. The route is thickly wooded on both sides of the narrow road. The road itself is covered in mist during this part of the year , and , seems to roll down endlessly from the forest slopes. The monotony of the verdant beauty is an obvious characteristic of the drive.
